About the Author
Dr. Arlindo Baião Junior is a 3rd-degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and a 4th dan black belt in Judo with two decades of experience.
Holding a Ph.D. in Physical Education, he specializes in adapted motor activity and teaching Jiu-Jitsu to children, including those with disabilities. He has taught in Brazil, Portugal, Italy, South Korea, and the U.S., combining competition experience with academic expertise to create dynamic, inclusive martial arts instruction.
Now based in Colorado, Arlindo continues to refine and share his innovative teaching methods. His research led to the
Educational Stripes System, a proven approach to improving student engagement and behavior in Jiu-Jitsu classes.
Through courses, lectures, and coaching, he remains dedicated to making Jiu-Jitsu accessible and impactful for all students.
